An aircraft belonging to Flair Aviation has been grounded for conducting a commercial flight with a humanitarian operational approval. Revealing this on his Twitter handle @hadisirika the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Hadi Siriki said “this is callous. The craft is impounded, crew being interrogated. Speaking further on his Twitter handle Siriki mentioned that “there shall be a maximum penalty, Wrong time to try our resolve”. Humanitarian flights are flights operated solely for humanitarian purposes and has received waivers recently in the Nigerian airspace due to Movement of relief materials and personnel as it pertains to the COVID19 pandemic.
It may be recall that Nigeria airspace was shut to international flights on March 21 in a bid to control the spread of COVID-19.CO
